Kyle’s Basement Waterproofing
Taking a Nova Scotia waterproofing contractor from 4–6 leads a week to 2–3 website leads a day, with the top spot on Google Maps and three websites built for growth
Kyle’s Basement Waterproofing is a family-owned contractor in Lower Sackville, fixing wet basements and foundation cracks across mainland Nova Scotia and into New Brunswick. We rebuilt their website around the services homeowners search for, set up and optimized their Google Business Profiles, ran their Google Ads, and launched new websites as the business grew into new lines of work.

The situation
In basement waterproofing, the call usually goes to whoever Google shows first.
When water comes through a foundation, homeowners don’t shop around for long. They search, check the map, read a few reviews and call. Kyle’s had more than 15 years of experience, a lifetime warranty and a strong local reputation. The job was to make sure the business showed up first — for every service it offers, in every town it serves.
The business was also growing beyond waterproofing, into epoxy flooring and the structural side of basement renovations. That work needed its own place online, without diluting the core brand.
What we did
Websites built for search, Google Business Profiles built for the map, paid search to capture demand, and new websites to support the business as it grew.
A website organized around what homeowners search for
We rebuilt kylesbasementwaterproofing.com with a dedicated page for each service — twelve in all, from foundation crack repair, interior weeping tile and French drains to sump pumps, concrete stitching and basement walkout entrances — so each one can rank for the searches it answers. Every page explains the problem and the fix in plain language, with a one-tap call button for mobile visitors.
Pages for every community they serve
We added pages for Dartmouth, Tantallon, Truro, New Glasgow, Amherst, Bridgewater and Moncton, New Brunswick, connected through a service-areas hub, so Kyle’s can be found where the work actually is — not just near the office.
Google Business Profiles and map rankings
We set up and optimized Google Business Profiles for each part of the business, and kept them consistent with the websites, so Google sees clear, well-documented local businesses.
Semrush’s Map Rank Tracker shows Kyle’s ranking first for “basement waterproofing” at every one of 49 points on a grid around their Lower Sackville office. That visibility turns into calls: more than 80 a month come straight from their Google Business Profile.

A steady stream of reviews
Reviews influence both map rankings and which contractor gets the call. We made asking for a review a standard step at the end of every job, and put those reviews to work on the website. Kyle’s now has 111 Google reviews with a 4.8-star average.
Google Ads
We set up and managed Kyle’s Google Ads, putting the business at the top of the results for urgent, high-intent searches — the homeowner with water in the basement right now.
New websites for new lines of business
As Kyle’s grew, we launched separate websites so each line of work has its own home and its own search presence: kylesepoxyflooring.com for the epoxy flooring division, supported by a library of articles for homeowners and contractors, and kbwc.ca for KBW Contracting, covering insulation, excavation and drainage, concrete work and the structural side of basement renovations.
Measurement from day one
We connected Google Search Console and Google Analytics across the websites, so decisions about pages, keywords and ad spend were based on real search and traffic data.
- kylesbasementwaterproofing.comThe main site — 12 service pages and 7 community pages
- kylesepoxyflooring.comEpoxy flooring division, with its own projects and articles
- kbwc.caKBW Contracting — insulation, drainage, concrete and structural work
Built to keep working
Local SEO should build assets the business owns — well-structured websites, strong Google Business Profiles and a growing body of reviews — not a campaign that fades the moment it stops.
Kyle’s still ranks first across the map for its most important search, and we continue to host their websites and email.
